'He wasn't appreciated at Chelsea, Arsenal' - Ikpeba on Serie A-winning striker Giroud
Published: May 30, 2022Former Monaco star Victor Ikpeba has lauded Olivier Giroud as a professional and well behaved player in the aftermath of the Frenchman winning his first league title since the 2011-2012 season.
Giroud played a key role as AC Milan won their first Scudetto in 11 years about a week ago, scoring twice on the final day of the season at Sassuolo.

The veteran France striker was often restricted to the role of a substitute during his Premier League career at Arsenal and Chelsea because he had competition in attack.
At Milan, whom he joined last summer, Giroud started 22 of the 29 appearances he was involved in.
Ikpeba thinks the 2018 World Cup winner, who was labeled a Premier League super sub, wasn't appreciated at Chelsea and Arsenal.
Speaking on SuperSport's Monday Night's Football, monitored by allnigeriasoccer.com, Ikpeba said : "Giroud did a great job as a Chelsea player, he was not really appreciated at Chelsea, even at Arsenal too.
"He's a professional, well behaved, he does not complain. He scores goals when it matters so I'm happy for him.
"That's the way when you move from club to club people remember the good you've done., he's done it with AC Milan. He left Arsenal to win a league title."
Giroud was once teammates with Alex Iwobi at Arsenal and Victor Moses at Chelsea.
