Arsenal, Man Utd given hope in landing Super Eagle as Real Madrid, Barca, Atletico Madrid yet to submit bid
Published: June 17, 2022Arsenal and Manchester United have been given hope in the race for Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen, if the reports in the Italian media are anything to go by.
The Napoli striker recently responded to speculation suggesting that he had offers from English Premier League and Spanish La Liga clubs.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, via Tuttomercatoweb, Napoli have not yet received offers from Spanish clubs as Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are considering signing other players.
Bundesliga Player of the Year Christopher Nkunku has been linked with Los Blancos, Barcelona are working on a deal to sign Bayern Munich marksman Robert Lewandowski, while Atletico Madrid are one of the teams interested in Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez.
The Italian sports daily claims that Osimhen is coveted by Premier League clubs, and a player of interest to Arsenal and Manchester United.
Napoli chief De Laurentiis has placed a price tag of 100 million euros on the star forward, which could scupper the chances of him moving to the Gunners.
