Official : 2014 Nigeria U23 invitee departs Queens Park Rangers
Published: June 20, 2022Through their official website, Championship club Queens Park Rangers have announced that 2014 Nigeria U23 invitee Moses Odubajo will be moving on to pastures new following the expiry of his contract on June 30, 2022.
Queens Park Rangers confirmed last month when their retained and released list was published that they were in talks with Odubajo over a contract extension.
However, the versatile, athletic defender has apparently not agreed terms with the Hoops on a fresh contract.
Odubajo joined Queens Park Rangers last summer after catching the eye in a pre-season friendly against Manchester United.
The 28-year-old racked up 33 appearances in all competitions over the course of the 2021-2022 season and is credited with three assists.
His previous clubs include Brentford, Sheffield Wednesday, Leyton Orient and Hull City.
Odubajo was Gernot Rohr's preferred choice for the then problematic right-back position but the German moved onto other targets, Ola Aina and Tyronne Ebuehi, after the former England U20 international suffered a career-threatening injury.
