Published: December 06, 2022
With a statement on their official website, Major League Soccer club FC Dallas have announced the capture of Warri-born central defender Sebastien Ibeagha.
The 2022 MLS Cup champion joins FC Dallas as a free agent and has put pen to paper on a two-year deal with club options for the 2025 and 2026 seasons.
FC Dallas have made a move for Ibeagha with the future of their record appearance maker Matt Hedges up in the air.
On his curriculum vitae, the American-Nigerian has played 94 games combined for three different MLS clubs including Houston Dynamo, New York City FC and Los Angeles Football Club.
A former United States U20 international, Ibeagha has also represented clubs in Denmark and Iceland.
He was named to the 2017 USL All-League First Team and 2017 USL Defender of the Year while with San Antonio.
Ibeagha went the distance for Los Angeles FC in their shootout win against Philadelphia Union in the MLS Cup playoffs, taking his total appearances for the season to 23 in all competitions.
