Super Eagles star back in team training at Hertha Berlin after length injury layoff
Published: April 17, 2023
Super Eagles star Chidera Ejuke has been pictured back in training after a lengthy layoff with an injury.
Ejuke has been recovering from a knee injury he suffered in Hertha Berlin's friendly match with the United States side, The Villages FC, in January.
The left-winger has since then missed the last 13 Bundesliga matches and the injury also ruled him out of contention for a place in the Super Eagles squad for the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers games against Guinea-Bissau last month.
Before his injury, Ejuke was named in the matchday squad in the Bundesliga 15 times, starting 9 games and coming off the bench on 6 occasions and he registered 3 assists within that period.
He was pictured back in training today alongside his colleagues as the Old Lady continue their huge battle to survive relegation - they are rooted to the bottom of the Bundesliga table with 22 points
Ejuke joined the German outfit last summer on a loan deal from Russian side CSKA Moscow and has made 16 appearances in all competitions.
