'Osimhen is worth as much as Haaland' - Agent claims Napoli could accept N76b for striker
Published: April 28, 2023Italian football agent Stefano Antonelli reckons that Napoli could be forced to sell their talismanic striker Victor Osimhen if they receive an astronomical bid from one of the clubs interested in his services.
The Nigeria international is drawing interest from Chelsea, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich ahead of the reopening of the transfer window.
Napoli have not yet determined a price tag for Osimhen but a fee of between €100m and €150m is being bandied about as his possible asking price.
Antonelli has insisted that the Nigerian is valued in the same bracket as Manchester City's goal machine Erling Haaland, and expects one of his suitors to meet his asking price.
"Osimhen is worth as much as Haaland today because they have different characteristics, but they are two very important players." Antonelli said on Radio Crc, via 100x100napoli.it.
"At the end of the season there will certainly be someone who wants to take him.
"Over time, Higuain and Cavani have left and football in Naples has always moved forward, indeed it has won.
"If 150 million (approximately N76b in Nigerian currency) arrives, you can't help but listen to it and if you don't sell it, it means that then you have to win everything because you can no longer participate, but you have to win everything".
Only Erling Haaland (33), Harry Kane (24) and Kylian Mbappe (22) have scored more goals than Osimhen (21) in the top five European Leagues this season.
The 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup winner has two years left on his contract with Napoli.
