Chukwueze finally starts work with AC Milan coach ahead of potential debut v Monza
Published: August 06, 2023According to Tuttomercatoweb, AC Milan manager Stefano Pioli will begin running the rule over Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze today.
Chukwueze joined AC Milan last month and has been unable to work with his new manager due to the Rossoneri's pre-season tour in the United States where they faced Real Madrid, Juventus, and Barcelona.
The former Villarreal star, following the confirmation of his move to the Italian club, stayed in Milan to concentrate on getting to full match fitness and was not part of the friendly games.
With the seven-time European champions returning to training today, the 24-year-old will now have the chance to meet his new boss and teammates.
Chukwueze will be hoping to settle in quickly before the 2021/2022 Serie A champions first league game of the season on August 21 against Bologna.
He could get the chance to make his unofficial debut on Tuesday when AC Milan face Monza at the U-Stadium in the Silvio Berlusconi trophy.
Pioli's side will also have further tests against Tronto, Étoile du Sahel and Novara which will all be played behind closed doors.
