Official: Fiorentina loan out Italian-born Nigerian winger to Serie C club
Published: August 12, 2023Through their official website, Fiorentina have announced that they have temporarily transferred the rights to the sports performances of the footballer Destiny Egharevba to Italian Serie C team US Recanatese.
In other words, the promising winger will be spending the entirety of the 2023-2024 season on loan at US Recanatese, with no option to buy included in the agreement.
Born in Verona, Egharevba had been training with US Recanatese for a few days before the confirmation of his loan deal on Saturday, August 12.
The 2003-born player represented the youth team of Chievo Verona before transferring to Fiorentina in 2021.
Egharevba has experienced men's football in the past, having spent time on loan at Vis Pesaro and Fiorenzuola, totaling 24 appearances combined for the two clubs.
The 20-year-old is capable of playing on both flanks, as a second striker and centre-forward.
Egharevba became provisionally cap-tied to his country of birth in October 2021 when he started for Italy in a European U19 Championship qualifier against Lithuania.
