Super Eagles forwards Ejuke and Iheanacho make La Liga debut for Sevilla in loss to Villarreal 

Super Eagles fowards Chidera Ejuke and Kelechi Iheanacho made their debut for Sevilla during 2-1 defeat to Villarreal on matchday two of the Spanish La Liga played at Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium on Friday night.

Former AFC Bournemouth striker Arnaut Danjuma gave Villarreal the lead in the second minute of the clash, striking the ball home after receiving a pass from Álex Baena.

Dodi Lukébakio restored parity for the home side in the first half stoppage time with a wonderful volley from inside the penalty area. 

Five minutes into the second halfb stoppage time , Ayoze Pérez gave the away the winning goal with a volley which couldn't be stopped by Orjan Nyland

Ejuke was received with enthusiasm by the fans due to his flair, giving Villarreal right back Sergi Cardona a run for his money.

He came close to putting the home side ahead in the first minute of the stoppage time but was denied by the goalkeeper Diego Conde before trying to set up Iheanacho who couldn't keep his pass in play.

Iheanacho didn't make the matchday squad for the opening clash against Las Palmas last Friday while Ejuke was an unused substitute.

The loss leaves Sevilla with just one point garnered in the first two rounds of matches but will have the chance to record their first victory of the campaign against RCD Mallorca on Tuesday.
