Watch: 20 players involved in Super Eagles training session on Tuesday evening
Published: September 03, 2024Twenty players were involved in the Super Eagles training session on Tuesday evening ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of qualification game against Benin on Saturday.
Stanley Nwabali and Fasil Ketema FC's new gloveman Amos Obasogie were the goalkeepers in attendance as Maduka Okoye is yet to report for duty.
William Troost-Ekong, Semi Ajayi, Ola Aina, Calvin Bassey, Olisa Ndah, and Bruno Onyemaechi are six of the defenders in camp, while Benjamin Tanimu, who replaced Bright Osayi-Samuel also took part in the session.
Alex Iwobi, Frank Onyeka, Raphael Onyedika, Alhassan Yusuf, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Wilfred Ndidi, the six midfielders invited for the forthcoming games were also in attendance.
There is no shortage of forwards in camp as Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze, Moses Simon, Taiwo Awoniyi and Victor Boniface are all in Uyo and took part in today's training session.
Victor Osimhen is unsurprisingly yet to resume as he is on the verge of completing a loan move to Galatasaray but is expected to join with the rest of his colleagues before the clash against the Cheetahs.
Sevilla summer signing Kelechi Iheanacho is the last player yet to report .
Training is expected to get more intense tomorrow ahead of the showdown against Gernot Rohr-led Benin.
