Reading product lands in Abidjan ahead of possible cap-tying game for Nigeria, among 8 players in camp

Allnigeriasoccer.com can report that there is no going back on the decision of Reading-reared central defender Gabriel Osho to represent Nigeria at international level.
The English-born player has already landed in Abidjan, three days before a possible cap-tying game for Nigeria in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Benin's Cheetahs at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium.
Alongside Osho, seven other players—Frank Onyeka, Raphael Onyedika, Amas Obasogie, Moses Simon, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Samuel Chukwueze and Bruno Onyemaechi—are currently in the Super Eagles camp.
The Auxerre defender was invited to train with the Golden Eaglets before the 2015 Fifa U17 World Cup but was not included in the final squad for the tournament in Chile.
According to team officials, more players are on their way to the Super Eagles camp tonight and a full house is expected on Tuesday.
Former Reading development squad skipper Osho has been handed another call-up to the Super Eagles to provide cover for the injured West Brom centre-back Semi Ajayi who is sidelined until 2025 after suffering a hamstring injury in a match against Cardiff City.
Ex-Nigeria coach, Finidi George wanted to take a look at Osho earlier this year, naming him in the squad list for a pair of internationals against Ghana and Mali but the ex-Luton Town star was forced to withdraw from the roster due to injury.
The 26-year-old does not require a change of association request in order to play for the Super Eagles because he has no caps for England at any level.
Osho is competing with Calvin Bassey, William Troost-Ekong and Victor Collins for a place in the starting XI against Benin.
