Man City interested in Super Eagles defender with 75 career appearances in the Premier League

English Premier League giants Manchester City are reportedly eyeing Super Eagles defender Ola Aina as a potential replacement for the ageing Kyle Walker, according to a report from The Sun. 

The former Torino man, who has been in impressive form for Nottingham Forest this season, has caught the attention of City's scouts with his exceptional tackling and technical skills.

The 28-year-old Nigerian defender has been a key player for Forest, starting all 19 games and scoring two goals from his defensive position. 

Aina made his 75th career appearance in the Premier League on Sunday as Nottingham Forest defeated Everton 2-0 at Goodison Park. 

His ability to contribute both defensively and offensively has made him a standout performer in the Premier League.

The Chelsea academy graduate's technical ability and composure on the ball have also been highlighted by his impressive passing statistics. 

He has completed 605 passes this season, showcasing his ability to fit seamlessly into City's passing-focused system. 

Furthermore, his versatility in being able to play on either flank aligns perfectly with Pep Guardiola's preference for adaptable players who can thrive in various formations.

Manchester City have been below their usual standards this season, and a squad overhaul seems to be the best approach. 

With Kyle Walker now 34, the club may not offer him a new contract, paving the way for Aina to join the ranks. 

While Forest are eager to extend Aina's stay, an offer from Manchester City could be too tempting to resist.
