'I like athletic players' - Veteran pundit reveals who is better between Osimhen and En-Nesyri
Published: January 29, 2025Şansal Büyüka, a veteran football expert in Turkey, has weighed in on the best striker between Galatasaray's Victor Osimhen and Fenerbahçe's Youssef En-Nesyri.
Osimhen, who has been making waves in Istanbul since his loan move in the summer, is competing for the highest goal scorer with the Moroccan striker.
The Nigerian International has scored twelve goals and four assists in fifteen league games, while En-Nesyri has scored twelve goals and provided four assists in twenty league games.
The performance has stirred comparisons between both strikers - with Büyüka choosing the Nigerian International due to his contribution during the game.
In an interview with Sports Digitale Youtube channel via habersarikirmizi, Büyüka praised the efforts of Osimhen against Konyaspor, highlighting his athleticism as a key attribute.
"En-Nesyri may have scored more goals than Victor Osimhen without a penalty, but I find Osimhen ahead in terms of staying in the game for 90 minutes, helping his teammates and overall contribution," he revealed.
"He created a penalty from nothing in the Konyaspor match. I like athletic players in football. En-Nesyri is not as athletic as Osimhen."
Despite his exploit in Turkey, Osimhen is behind Krzysztof Piątek in the scorer's chart. The Polish forward has scored fifteen goals and provided two assists in nineteen league games.
Büyüka's analysis further highlighted the difference between both African strikers as they battle for glory in the Super Lig.
