Five years after admitting he wants to emulate Lukaku, Jordan Kadiri moves to Jupiler Pro League

Nigerian striker Jordan Attah Kadiri is back in Belgian football after signing a contract with Jupiler Pro League side FCV Dender EH.

The former Lommel man has put pen to paper on  a contract until 2026 with an option for an additional year, informs the official website of FCV Dender EH

Kadiri was able to complete his move to FCV Dender EH after the Belgian transfer window closed for business because he was a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Romanian club UTA Arad.

The 24-year-old scored two goals in thirteen all-competition appearances during his time at UTA Arad.

In the past, he played in the Challenger Pro League, the second tier of Belgian football, amassing 54 appearances for Lommel and Francs Borains while scoring 14 goals and assisting three times.

Apart from the aforementioned teams, Kadiri lists Sunsel, Nasarawa United, Ostersund and Strømsgodset as his previous clubs.

A fan of the Belgian Pro League, Kadiri admitted in 2020 that he wanted to emulate Romelu Lukaku, Divock Origi, and Christian Benteke, all of whom started their professional journeys in Belgium before making moves abroad.

After twenty-five matches in the Belgian top division, FCV Dender EH are ninth in the standings ahead of their trip to OH Leuven this coming weekend.
