DANNY SHITTU: I Am Delighted To Have Signed For Millwall
Published: August 14, 2012Nigeria defender Danny Shittu says he is delighted to rejoin Championship side Millwall. The 31 - year - old signed a one - year deal at The Den on Monday.
Shittu was quoted as saying by newsatden.co.uk : ''I am delighted to have signed for Millwall yesterday. I would like to thank Kenny Jackett and Andy Ambler.
"I would also like to thank all the fans who have supported me throughout my times. It has been a challenging few seasons for me being at clubs where I was not given a chance by the respective managers.''
Meanwhile, coach of Milwall, Kenny Jackett is pleased with the arrival of the bulky Nigerian central defender.
He told the official website: ''I'm very pleased to add another experienced defender to the ranks. Danny has an excellent Championship pedigree and will make a contribution in ensuring we are defensively strong. ''
The former Blackpool ace made his competitive debut for Millwall on Tuesday evening in the League Cup match against Hope Akpan's Crawley Town
