BROWN IDEYE Happy With Dynamo Kiev's Qualification
Published: August 29, 2012Dynamo Kiev have progressed to the group stage of the UEFA Champions League after a 4-3 aggregate win over German club VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Immediately after the match held at the Olympic Stadium, Kiev, Nigeria forward, Brown Ideye commented on his team securing a place in Thursday's group draw.
''We are glad for this victory. We won - and this is the main thing. Clear that after we scored in the second half, the opponent was trying to do it again. Glad that in theend we managed to finish the match with an acceptable score to overcome the barrier in the form of "Borussia" and qualify.
''In this match, we gave it to the full, none of our guys did not even think to play at half strength. But it's hard to say what happened to the team in the second half,'' Ideye, who was on target in the 88th minute, told championat.com.
Next for Dynamo Kiev is a tricky trip to Donetsk where they face Shakhtar in the eighth round of matches in the Ukrainian championship.
