Exclusive:Parma Face Competition From Sweden, Ukraine For IFEANYI IGWENJOKU
Published: September 28, 2012Former Oman based striker Ifeanyi Igwenjoku has started trials with Serie A club Parma. Should he impress coach Roberto Donaldo at the end of tests, he would be offered a professional contract by the 1999 UEFA Cup champions.
''I have been training with the reserve team since I arrived this week. I was told by my agent I would join the main team if I am successful. I have been well received by my new teammates, they are so nice here,'' Igwenjoku told allnigeriasoccer.com.
He added: ''The coach has told me he's impressed by my movement on and off the ball. But he advised that I need more time to adapt to Italian football as it's more physical and tactical.''
According to Giacomo Luisi, Igwenjoku's Italian agent, the free agent is also on the wishlist of clubs in Sweden, Turkey, Qatar, UAE and Ukraine.
