JUWON OSHANIWA Tips Nigeria To Beat Liberia
Published: October 02, 2012
Though he failed to make the Super Eagles roster, MS Ashdod summer recruit Juwon Oshaniwa has tipped Nigeria to beat Liberia in next weekend's African Cup of Nations qualifiers in Calabar.
Speaking to allnigeriasoccer.com from his base in Israel, Oshaniwa said: ''I am very sure the Super Eagles can finish the business when Liberia come to town. It is a home game and I am expecting my colleagues to do the nation proud with the support of the fans. It is all about determination, and the team is working towards the same goal which is qualification for next year's African Cup of Nations.''
22 - year -old Oshaniwa has played three games for MS Ashdod since he was unveiled by the club three weeks ago. This weekend, The Dolphins travel to the capital to face Vincent Enyeama's Maccabi Tel Aviv.
''I have not really discussed with Enyeama on the game (laughing). I am not thinking of that game now. What is on my mind is tomorrow's cup game against Ironi Ramat Hasharon FC,'' the ex Sharks of Port Harcourt defender said.
MS Ashdod is the only team in Israel with maximum points after five rounds of matches.
