Festival Of Goals In Calabar, Eagles Book Nations Cup Ticket
The Super Eagles of Nigeria booked a place at the 2013 African Cup of Nations after a resounding 6 - 1 victory over Liberia, the country's biggest victory in the last two decades. Thus, Nigeria qualify 8-3 on aggregate.

Right from the blast of the referee's whistle, Nigeria showed they meant serious business. Glasgow Celtic's Efe Ambrose rose above the Liberia defense to score his first international goal after only a minute played.

Ahmed Musa, picked ahead of Rangers winger Ejike Uzoenyi added a second for the Eagles on 38 minutes after receiving an assist from another Russia based player Emmanuel Emenike.

Second half goals by Mikel Obi, Victor Moses (2), Ikechukwu Uche compounded the woes of the Lone Stars. Patrick Wleh scored a consolation goal for the Liberians in the 80th minute.

Next year's tournament in South Africa will be the 17th appearance by Nigeria, one of the continent's traditional teams.
