Published: November 05, 2012
The persecution of Israeli international of Nigeria heritage Toto Tamuz continued on Monday . The Hapoel Tel Aviv star woke up in his Ramat Hasharon home this morning to discover his car tyres had been punctured by unknown hoodlums.
Recall that last week, Tamuz was dismissed during the away game against Beitar Jerusalem, and has claimed that he was racially provoked by the opposition supporters. Hence, his goal celebration of telling the Beitar supporters to 'shut up', which earned him a second yellow card and a sending off.
According to Israeli media, Ynet.co. il, Tamuz has updated the management of Hapoel on Monday's incident, and the club has filed a complaint with police. Graffiti has also been spread near Bloomfield Stadium against the striker signed by the yellow Ultras organization which reads: "Give Toto a banana.''
The Israeli Federation banned Toto Tamuz for two matches , and he is now ineligible for the big derby against Maccabi Tel Aviv on Sunday.
