Five Defensor Players Named In Starting Eleven To Face Nigeria

Manager Juan Verzeri will start with Guillermo De Amores (Liverpool, Montevideo) in goal while the defense comprises Guillermo Varela (Penarol), José María Giménez (Danubio FC), Gaston Silva (Defensor) and Gianni Rodriguez (Benfiica, Portugal).
Leonardo Pais (Defensor), Gino Federico (Defensor), Christopher (Penarol) and Sebastian Diego Laxalt (Defensor) are the midfielders selected for the tie against Nigeria.
Giorgian De Arrascaeta (Defensor) and Nicolas Lopez (AS Roma) will lead Uruguay's charge for goals.
It should be noted that five players from the same team Defensor have been named in the starting eleven, meaning the squad is well coordinated.
40 - year - old Serbian referee Milorad Maži� will officiate the meeting between Nigeria and Uruguay. He speaks Serbian and English.
