Speaking at a press conference on Friday, Stade de Reims manager óscar García has warned his players of the danger of Moses Simon and also singled out another Nantes star to keep an eye on.
Reims travel to the Stade de la Beaujoire - Louis Fonteneau on Sunday for a Ligue 1 match against Nantes.
Garcia noted that Nantes will be looking to punish them on the counter-attack with their pacy strikers Simon and Randal Kolo Muani.
Simon is back in the Nantes squad after missing their first five games of 2022 due to his participation in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
The former Gent and AS Trencin star proved to be the Super Eagles' most potent attacking
threat during the tournament in Cameroon with his pace and trickery causing
problems for the opposition defenders.
"They are a very strong team. They have won three of the last four games played.
"We also know that at home, in front of their home crowd, they are very solid but each match is different and we are going to Nantes hoping to win, " Garcia told reporters.
"I expect a team this weekend that will leave the ball to better operate on the counterattack, in particular thanks to players like Simon and Kolo Muani".
Simon has directly participated in eight goals in nineteen appearances in the French top-flight so far this season.
