Former African Footballer of the Year, Victor Ikpeba has praised Eberechi Eze for settling quickly at Arsenal following his summer move from Crystal Palace.
Fourteen years after being released as a schoolboy, the 2017 Super Eagles invitee returned to the Gunners for a second spell, putting pen to paper on a multi-year contract.
On Sunday, the England international etched his name into the history books by becoming the 400th player to score a Premier League hat-trick, with his treble inspiring the league leaders to victory in the north London derby.
Eze has now registered eight goal involvements (five goals and three assists) in sixteen appearances since making his debut for his boyhood club against Liverpool at the end of August.
Ikpeba noted that the attacking midfielder's early impact is no coincidence, stressing that he has joined a team perfectly suited to his profile.
Speaking on SuperSport's Monday Night Football, and monitored by allnigeriasoccer.com, Ikpeba stated: "When you talk about Eze, he's in the right club at the right time.
"The potential is there; he's playing with some of the best players in Europe, so itβs very easy for you to hit the ground running by scoring some crucial goals."
Eze will hope to maintain his strong start on Wednesday night when Arsenal take on Bayern Munich in a mouthwatering UEFA Champions League clash at the Emirates Stadium.
