Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr has summed up the gains of the Austria training camp and he is optimistic about the team's chances at the World Cup.
The Super Eagles were narrowly beaten 2-1 by England and 1-0 by the Czech Republic during their training camp in Europe, and Rohr is delighted that no member of the 23-man squad suffered injuries before they arrived in Essentuki.
''Nine days here was hard work. Everyday we had two training sessions in very good conditions, wonderful grass, the country side is nice, is clean with mountains,'' Rohr said in an interview with the Nigerian Federation.
''Unfortunately, we had heavy rains for the match, we wanted to play on the 7th or the 8th but we had to play on the sixth.
''It was too close for the England match so we had small time for recovery and for traveling but the organization could not be made better.''
The former Bayern Munich defender added : ''But we did the work especially after the game against Czech Republic.
''Everybody is fit, no injury, which is the most important that they did very well, and I think everybody is much better now so it was a good preparation.''
The Super Eagles will hold their first training session on Russian soil this afternoon, starting from 1615 hours local time.
