San Jose Earthquakes Midfielder Fatai Alashe Gets United States Call - Up
San Jose Earthquakes star Fatai Alashe has been named to the United States National Team’s roster for the first training camp in 2016 which begins on Monday, January 11.<br /><br />Born in Michigan 22 years ago, the youngster was one of the eight midfielders included in the roster announced by Head Coach Jurgen Klinsmann on Wednesday.<br /><br />Alashe has caps for the United States U23s and was a member of the squad that finished third in the CONCACAF Men’s Olympic qualifying tournament.<br /><br />He was nominated for the the <span style=""font-size:14px;""><span class=""s1"">2015 AT&T Rookie of the Year award, which was eventually won by Orlando City forward Cyle Larin.<br /><br />Last season, the Nigerian - American suited up 28 times in the MLS, scoring in games against </span></span><span style=""font-size:14px;""><span class=""s1""><span class=""body1"">Chicago Fire ( March 23) and Seattle Sounders (September 13).<br /><br /></span></span></span><span style=""font-size:14px;""><span class=""s1"">Photo Credit : mlssoccer.com</span></span><br />
