At a gala ceremony held at the Grand Hotel, Oslo, IK Start midfielder Solomon Owello scooped the award for the Player of the Season in Norway's first division ahead of <span style="">Sarpsborg's &oslash;yvind Ho&aring;s and Martin Wiik.</span><br /><br />The official website of the first division champions, ikstart.no, reported that Owello did not attend the ceremony as he has started vacation in Nigeria.<br /><br />Unarguably, this was Owello's best season since his arrival in Norway four years ago from local club Niger Tornadoes.<br /><br />23 - year - old Owello started all the 30 matches played by Start in the Adeccoligaen.
