Kaye Furo, the 19‑year‑old son of former Super Eagles defender Iyenemi Furo, made his competitive debut for Brentford FC in their Emirates FA Cup fourth‑round match against Macclesfield FC on Monday night.
Furo, who joined the Premier League club from Belgian Pro League side Club Brugge earlier this year, was included in Brentford’s starting lineup by head coach Keith Andrews as part of several changes for the tie against the sixth‑tier team.
Brentford secured a 1–0 victory thanks to an own goal by Macclesfield defender Sam Heathcote in the second half, advancing the Premier League side to the FA Cup fifth round.
The forward developed through Club Brugge’s academy and has represented Belgium at youth international level.
Following his debut, Furo will focus on earning more opportunities in domestic cup competitions and the Premier League as he continues his development with Brentford this season.
His appearance marks an important milestone in the career of the young forward, who is following in the footsteps of his father, Iyenemi Furo, a former defender for the Nigerian national team.
