Bukayo Saka has been advised against joining Liverpool by former Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Paul Robinson.
Though Arsenal want to extend the contract of the Anglo-Nigerian winger, he has been linked with possible moves to Liverpool as well as clubs in Germany, notably Borussia Dortmund.
Saka started the season as a winger and has attracted many admirers after showing his versatility when he was deployed as left-back following the injuries sustained by Sead Kolašinac and Kieran Tierney.
Robinson has urged Saka to shun a move to the current European champions as he fears the Hale End Academy product won't be guaranteed first team opportunities.
"A top player. I have seen him a few times and Arsenal will do all that they can to renew his contract," Robinson told Football Insider.
"Liverpool are trying to muscle in there and take him because he is 18 and has already made 29 appearances this season. He is very good going forward.
"However, with [Mikel] Arteta at Arsenal, I think it could be more beneficial for the player to stay there.
"I doubt that he would get the same opportunities at Liverpool as an 18-year-old.
"For his development, it is worth staying at Arsenal for a while longer under a manager that is keen to promote youth."
The 18-year-old Saka has raked up 33 appearances for Arsenal's first team since he made his professional debut in the 2018-2019 season.
