Fulham forward Samuel Chukwueze has finally linked up with the Super Eagles camp in Cairo ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The AC Milan winger arrived too late to be considered for Tuesday evening's international friendly against Egypt, a match in which 17 players from Nigeria’s final 28-man Afcon squad featured.
On the eve of their departure for Fes, 26 players are currently with the Super Eagles in Egypt.
Among those in camp are goalkeepers Francis Uzoho, Stanley Nwabali and Amas Obasogie, alongside Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Semi Ajayi, Ademola Lookman, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Igoh Ogbu, Tochukwu Nnadi, Zaidu Sanusi, Paul Onuachu, Frank Onyeka, Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi.
Also present are Wilfred Ndidi, Bruno Onyemaechi, Cyriel Dessers, Akor Adams, Chidera Ejuke, Raphael Onyedika, Ryan Alebiosu, Salim Fago, Chidozie Awaziem, Usman Muhammed and the latest arrival, Chukwueze.
According to the Super Eagles’ media team, Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen and Paris FC forward Moses Simon are expected to join the camp shortly.
Meanwhile, the team will hold two training sessions on Wednesday — a gym workout scheduled for 11:00 am, followed by an on-pitch session at 5:00 pm.
