Wilfred Ndidi is edging closer to a full return to fitness, having rejoined team training at Besiktas on Monday.
The Istanbul club released images from their latest session, with the Super Eagles captain pictured working alongside his teammates under the watchful eye of manager Sergen Yalçın.
Ndidi has been sidelined since sustaining a Grade 2 partial hamstring tear (biceps femoris muscle) following the 1–0 defeat to Fenerbahçe.
He was unavailable for the April 10 home fixture against Antalyaspor due to a one-match suspension for accumulated bookings and also missed the recent victory over Samsunspor as he was yet to receive full medical clearance from the club's doctors.
The Black Eagles have commenced preparations for their Ziraat Türkiye Cup quarterfinal clash against Corendon Alanyaspor, with training taking place at the BJK Nevzat Demir Facilities on Monday.
Yalçın is expected to closely assess Ndidi's condition in the coming days before deciding whether the midfielder will be included in the matchday squad.
Since joining from Leicester City last summer, the Nath Boys product has made 26 appearances across all competitions, including two in the Türkiye Cup, and has scored twice in the Süper Lig.
