Italian Serie A club Genoa are interested in Blackburn Rovers' Nigeria international right-back Ryan Alebiosu.
Alebiosu's stock has risen following a series of impressive performances for Blackburn this season, culminating in a cap-tying appearance for the Super Eagles at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
As first reported by Sky Sport Italia, via Tuttomercatoweb, Alebiosu has been identified as a replacement for fellow Hale End Academy graduate Brooke Norton-Cuffy, who is heavily linked with a transfer to Inter Milan.
Genoa's interest in Alebiosu is concrete, with Blackburn Rovers turning down their initial offer worth five million euros (approximately N8.3 billion in Nigerian currency) for Alebiosu.
The 24-year-old is under contract at Ewood Park until the end of the 2027-28 season, having joined Blackburn from Belgian side KV Kortrijk last summer.
This season, he has made 23 appearances across league and cup competitions, registering one goal and two assists.
While it remains to be seen whether Genoa will re-enter the race, Everton and Wolfsburg are also monitoring the player's situation.
Despite speculation linking him with a move before the close of the January transfer window, Alebiosu made his first post-Afcon start in Blackburn's ongoing Championship fixture against Hull City.
