The 26-year-old was named alongside Sebastien De Maio and Bram Nuytinck in a three-man defence for the visitors, but Luca Gotti's wards could not keep up with the pace of the Old Lady attackers.
As per ratings from statistical website Whoscored.com, Troost-Ekong was his side's best defender in the defeat, receiving a score of 6.8 mark, to place first ahead of De Maio (6.22) and Nuytinck (6.21).
Ronaldo opened the scoring after nine minutes in Turin before adding another in the 37th minute and defender Leonardo Bonucci added another on the stroke of half time.
Ignacio Pussetto scored a late one for the visitors but that was not enough, and they remain 17th in the division standings with 15 points to show for after 16 games.
Udinese have a chance to get back to winning ways when they face Cagliari in their last game of the year on Saturday, December 21st.
