Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has announced his starting XI for Monday evening's 2025 Africa Cup of Nations round of 16 encounter against Mozambique at the Fez Stadium in Fez.

 After rotating his squad and resting several key figures in last Tuesday's dead-rubber fixture against Uganda’s Cranes, the Malian tactician has opted to deploy his strongest available lineup as Nigeria chase a place in the quarterfinals.

Chippa United goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali returns between the posts after shaking off a knee concern. 

The shot-stopper sustained the knock after an awkward landing while attempting to stop Tunisia's first goal during Nigeria's second group stage outing.

The former Enyimba custodian is shielded by a back four consisting of Bright Osayi-Samuel, Semi Ajayi, Calvin Bassey and Bruno Onyemaechi.

Alex Iwobi is joined in midfield by Wilfred Ndidi and Frank Onyeka, providing both creativity and control

Former African Footballer of the Year Victor Osimhen leads the line,  with support from Sevilla striker Akor Adams and Ademola Lookman. 

Samuel Chukwueze, Moses Simon, Paul Onuachu, Chidera Ejuke and Salim Lawal are the attacking options on the substitutes' bench.

Kickoff at the Fez Stadium is scheduled for 20:00 hours, with the winner facing either Algeria or the Democratic Republic of Congo in the quarterfinals.
