Super Eagles striker Stephen Odey is looking forward to Wednesday's
Danish Superliga clash between his team Randers and FC Midtjylland at
Cepheus Park Randers.
Randers have not beaten the Wolves in the
Superliga since 2012 and Odey is optimistic that the East Jutland outfit
can break the negative trend by beating the Wolves.
Odey
has been in the groove since switching to Randers last summer, first on
loan before the move was made permanent, scoring thirteen goals in all
competitions, including seven in the Danish top-flight.
The former Mountain of Fire and Racing Genk striker has also hit target in the Europa Conference League (3) and Sydbank Pokalen (3).
"FC
Midtjylland is a really good opponent. And in the last many years,
Randers FC has not won over them. We look forward to breaking the
negative shoal, and making the fans happy," Odey said to Randers official website.
Odey has not hidden his desire and the team's ambition to feature in Europe again next season.
"It's
everyone's dream. All the players' dream is to play European matches
again. We all know the feeling of playing in Europe and I know we want
to play European matches again next season," he added.
Randers
are fifth in the table with 36 points from 24 games, five points adrift
of third-placed Aalborg who occupy the last European spot.
