Super Falcons In War Mood, Reject $100 Per Player Traveling Allowance Offered By NFF

Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that the face-off between the Super Falcons and the powers that be at the Nigeria Football Federation is still lingering despite the appeals of General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi and Head of Women Football, Ruth David.

The players have been told they will be paid their outstanding entitlements at an unspecified date, and the Nigerian Federation offered each player N50,000.00 (approximately US$100) traveling allowance to head back to their base, which was rejected outright.

The Senate President Bukola Saraki, who is a passionate football fan, has agreed to host the Super Falcons, but the NFF refused, arguing they first have to hear from the Presidency.

That made the players more aggrieved because they were hoping to be handsomely rewarded financially by the Senate.

While Nigeria Football Federation officials have departed Agura Hotel after failing to broker a deal, the players are still holed up in the hotel.

Ifeanyi Emmanuel
