England international Tammy Abraham has named Ola Aina and Domino Solanke among the unbelievable players Chelsea had during his time with the U18 team.
The Super Eagles defender is Chelsea's all-time appearance holder in the UEFA Youth League with 20 games, while Solanke is their joint-second top scorer in the competition with 12 goals to his name - a testament to the credentials of both players at youth level.
Aina and Solanke both made their debuts for Chelsea U18s team while they were still schoolboys.
"At that time, we went into games and tournaments with so much confidence," Abraham told Chelsea's official webpage.
"The players we had were unbelievable players – Dom Solanke, Izzy Brown, Ola Aina, Charlie Colkett, Fikayo Tomori, Jake Clarke-Salter.
"There was one game with the youth team where we were playing Aston Villa and we were 2-0 down. I remember our coach Joe Edwards, who is the current assistant at Chelsea now, was like 'What’s going on? What are you guys doing?'
"We all just looked at each other and knew we had to turn it on. We came back and won that game 12-2!"
Aina was involved in six first team games for the Blues before joining Torino while 2017 U20 World Cup Golden Ball winner Solanke played one match.
