Super Eagles Team Coordinator Patrick Pascal has revealed that Nigeria are aiming to pick up six points when they face Benin and Lesotho in their two opening Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers this month.
The former Nigeria international stressed that the Super Eagles have the confidence to face any team in the world after back-to-back draws against five-time world champions Brazil and Ukraine in post-AFCON friendlies.
''Playing Ukraine and Brazil were very good friendly matches, and more especially Brazil who are among the top two in the world,'' Pascal said to the Super Eagles YouTube account
''For our boys to play very well in the match it gave us hope that we have a good team that can face any country in the world.
''Anytime you play friendly matches it is to see the strength of the team, so I think the coach knows the strength of every department and know the players he'll use.
''For the players themselves, playing together two friendly matches, it gave them opportunity of knowing each other very well.
''They were very good friendly matches and we want them to get maximum six points in the matches against Benin and Lesotho''.
Nigeria have qualified for eighteen Africa Cup of Nations in the past, winning three and finishing as runners up on four occasions.
