Arthur Okonkwo notched his tenth clean sheet of the campaign as Wrexham claimed a valuable 1-0 away win against Charlton Athletic in a Championship clash at the Valley on Saturday.
The former Arsenal goalkeeper has been making headlines in Nigeria in recent days amid growing speculation that he could receive his maiden call-up to the Super Eagles for their March internationals, having already pledged his international future to the three-time African champions.
Okonkwo has long been monitored by the Nigeria Football Federation, with former president Amaju Pinnick recommending him to Gernot Rohr, but the German coach deemed the Hale End Academy graduate too young at the time for a senior national team call-up.
The 24-year-old has demonstrated he has come of age, delivering a series of outstanding performances for promotion-chasing Wrexham.
Against the Addicks, Ollie Rathbone netted the decisive goal in the 30th minute, but the Red Dragons had Okonkwo to thank for securing all three points.
In the 90th minute, a headed clearance landed perfectly for Sonny Carey on the edge of the box, and his volley seemed destined for the net, only for Okonkwo to produce a superb save.
Okonkwo has kept nine clean sheets in the Championship and remained unbeaten as Wrexham overcame Ipswich Town to reach the fifth round of the FA Cup.
