Tottenham's hope of winning a major trophy for the first time in 11 years encountered a huge setback against Ajax during yesterday's Champions League semifinal clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Lilywhites now have a very slim chance of progressing to the final round of the competition as they need to overturn the one-goal deficit.

However, there are better days ahead of Mauricio Pochettino's side considering the quality of players coming through from the academy.

Many youngsters have found their way into Pochettino's starting lineup in time past but there are three players whose presence in the manager's first-team could end the club's long-term trophy drought in the nearest future.

Timothy Eyoma

The 19-year-old's versatility and ability to join his team-mates while attacking makes him one of Tottenham's youth products who will strengthen Pochettino's defensive setup and also make them look lively at the final part of the pitch.

Josh Onomah

Onomah is not a stranger to the North London fans as he was once a part of the first team before he was loaned out to Sheffield Wednesday prior the start of the season.

It's no fluke that the 22-year-old midfielder is highly rated by Tottenham faithfuls and he is one of the players whose qualities will end their wait for  a trophy.

Luke Amos

Luke Amos is another youngster who has the potential to lead the North London club to their first glory in more than a decade.

The 22-year-old defensive midfielder impressed in pre-season and was handed his Premier League debut vs Newcastle United. A knee injury he suffered while playing for the U23s in September ruled him out for the remainder of the season.
