Tottenham Hotspur have opened talks with Italian Serie A club Genoa over the signing of Romanian central defender Radu Drăgușin in the January transfer window.
The north London club are in the market for a centre-back and had been linked with Fulham star Tosin Adarabioyo as well as OGC Nice's Jean-Clair Todibo.
Tottenham attempted to sign the former Manchester City youth team player in the summer but a deal did not happen as the player wanted to join Monaco.
However, his proposed switch to the Principality club fell through on deadline day after Fulham failed to sign a replacement.
According to well known transfer market reporter Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham are prepared to send first verbal bid for Radu Dragusin after opening talks with Genoa and he added that the 21-year-old has already given his green light to the deal.
Dragusin is attracting interest from the Lilywhites thanks to his performances for Genoa in the first half of the season, where he started every single game played by the Rossoblù and scored two goals.
Several Serie A clubs are also interested in Drăgușin including Atalanta, AC Milan and Napoli.
Tosin's future at Fulham has been the subject of speculation since the start of 2023 as his contract with the Cottagers is due to expire at the end of the current season.
