Udinese central defender William Troost Ekong says he is not concerned with situations in the Libyan camp ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier on Saturday.

The Super Eagles have a make or mar Group E clash with the North African side this week

Earlier in the week, Algerian born gaffer Adel Amrouche resigned as the head coach of the Mediterranean Knights.

And the Udinese central back says the Super Eagles are concerned about their performance on the field and not trivial issues.

"We aren't afraid of Libya. We don't care whether their coach has resigned. Our focus is on our own affairs," the former Bursaspor star said at a Press Conference attended by allnigeriasoccer.com today.

"We want to get the job done on the pitch. What we are thinking about is the Super Eagles and not any unnecessary distraction," he added.

Left back Jamilu Collins has insisted that his side will not be intimidated when they face Libya on Saturday.

The two sides clash in a Group E battle in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier in what is expected to be a tough game.

The match will go a long way to deciding the Eagles' fate in the group, but the Paderborn man is adamant that Nigeria will be able to handle the pressure.

"It is the key game, definitely. It is good to win every game but, with the match against the group leaders, it is even more important," said Jamilu Collins at a Press Conference attended by allnigeriasoccer.com on Thursday.

"You can't look too far into it because you then start getting distracted, and it puts added pressure onto you.

"We know what we've got to do, it's a pressure game but they are all pressure games for us.

"It is a different challenge for us to overcome but, at the end of the day, it's a game of football and what goes on inside the white lines isn't to do with who is outside of them.

''We will speak about tactics before the game. If we can match them mentally and physically and approach the game in a right way, we've got a good chance."

Nigeria will host the first leg at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Saturday 13th October with the return leg scheduled for the 18,000-capacity Stade Taïeb Mhiri in the city of Sfax, Tunisia on Tuesday 16th October.
