Two Players Of Nigerian Descent Chelsea Starlet Tomori, Charlton Striker Lookman Make England Bow

Four players of Nigerian descent were named in the starting line-up in England U19s 2-0 loss to Mexico in an international friendly at the Centro de Alti Rendimiento on Saturday.<br /><br />Defender Fikayo Tomori (Chelsea) and Ademola Lookman (Charlton Athletic) were handed their debuts by manager Aidy Boothroyd, while Liverpool&rsquo;s Sheyi Ojo and Chelsea&rsquo;s Ojo started the game as well.<br /><br />Though the Young Lions suffered a loss against Mexico, there was a reason to be cheerful as Tomori was impressive in his first game for England after switching allegiance from Canada.<br /><br />The North Americans went in front in the 60th minute before their lead was doubled ten minutes from time.<br /><br />Ojo and Solanke subbed out at the end of the first half, Lookman joined the duo on the bench half an hour later while Chelsea&rsquo;s Young Player of the Year Tomori went the distance.<br /><br />A fifth player with Nigerian roots, Josh Onomah (Tottenham Hotspur), was an unused substitute but could get game time on Monday against today&rsquo;s opponents.<br /><br />Ifeanyi Emmanuel <br /><br />Photo Credit : football-league.co.uk <br />
