Nigeria's match-winner against Egypt, Kelechi Iheanacho was delighted to get on the scoresheet on his Africa Cup of Nations debut on Tuesday, but has admitted the Super Eagles missed some chances in the second half to put themselves out of sight.
The Leicester City star rocketed the ball into the top corner with a sweetly-struck left-footed strike in the 30th minute to secure all three points for Augustine Eguavoen's side.
Iheanacho has revealed that the Super Eagles will not let their chances go to waste in their upcoming clash against Sudan at the Roumdé Adjia Stadium, Garoua on Saturday, January 15.
Speaking to reporters in the mixed zone after the clash versus the Pharaohs, Iheanacho said : "I feel great, I'm really buzzing getting the goal for my team.
"We missed some goals in the second half but hopefully next game we pick up the pieces and convert our chances.
"Our team is always a confident team, we have a very intelligent group of players, we are really vibrant and strong.
"We have been together for a while and we work together as a team".
The Super Eagles will book a place in the knockout stage of the Africa Cup of Nations with a game to spare if they can overcome Sudan.
