Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has expressed confidence and delight with Udinese's performance in their 1–0 victory over AS Roma at the Bluenergy Stadium on Monday, stating that the team has shown it can compete with the best sides in the league.
Although Dutch midfielder Jurgen Ekkelenkamp scored the decisive second-half goal, Okoye was outstanding, producing a series of crucial stops to secure the victory.

Speaking after the match, Okoye praised the team's collective effort and assured fans that the squad is working tirelessly with the aim of competing strongly and pushing for a place in European competition.
"I'm happy to have helped the team today. We put in a great team performance," Okoye told Udinese's official webpage.
"I'm happy for ourselves and for the fans. We're working hard, all united, from the players to the staff. We can compete with anyone."
Okoye has enjoyed an impressive campaign with Udinese, recording four clean sheets in 15 league appearances.
