William Troost-Ekong: Did well with his defensive job and was hardly found wanting yet. A solid display.(6.5/10)
Brian Idowu: Kept width and did well checking the opposition swing through the right. A quite substantial showing. (6/10)
Wilfred Ndidi: Did a great job in midfield marking Sigurðsson and always looked imposing. Hit some long range shots to test Halldórsson. (8/10)
Oghenekaro Etebo: Covered every blade of grass and never broke sweat in stifling the Nordic attackers. (7/10)
Mikel Obi: The team's fulcrum. Sprayed very good passes all over and kept the team ticking all along. A top quality display from the skipper.(7.5/10)
Ahmed Musa: His knack for breakaway attacks kept the opposition on their toes. Took his first goal with aplomb from a great cross before adding even another eye-popping one. He even struck the woodwork!(9/10)
Kelechi Iheanacho: Held up play with great efficiency and picked out his fellow attackers with good passing.(7/10)
The Substitutes
Tyronne Ebuehi: Did well after coming on in the second period and was as usual a good attacking threat. Gave away a very avoidable penalty though. (6/10)
