Norwegian Eliteserien side SK Brann have passed up the opportunity to sign Nigeria Professional Football League leading scorer Junior Lokosa.
Lokosa's agent, Abiodun Tella, had earlier claimed that his client was traveling for a routine medical before signing a straight contract but in reality SK Brann wanted to see how the striker fitted into the squad, in terms of his personality and abilities.
SK Brann manager Lars Arne Nilsen was not totally convinced after running the rule over the Super Eagles striker for four days, starting from Monday, July 23.
''Maybe the manager wants someone who can make an impact immediately, who is used to the playing system,'' Lokosa's intermediary, Tella, was quoted as saying by Aftenposten.
''The player likes the club, and it has been an interesting opportunity for him.
''He knows that the club appreciate him, but his style of playing doesn’t fit the system at the moment.''
Lokosa's proposed transfer to Bulgarian club PFC Ludogorets Razgrad fell apart in May, the Kano Pillars frontman was named in Nigeria's 30-man provisional World Cup roster.
