South Africa on Monday morning announced their roster for the crucial 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Nigeria in Johannesburg on Saturday, November 17.
Stuart Baxter's squad is dominated by home-based players as you would expect, with Mamelodi Sundowns contributing five players and Bidvest Wits having four defensive-minded players on the roster including goalkeeper Darren Keet.
Six players in the shape of Kamohelo Mokotjo, Dean Furman, Bongani Zungu, Keagan Dolly, Sibusiso Vilakazi and Bradley Grobler have been omitted from the Bafana Bafana roster as a result of injuries.
The 23-man squad list is headlined by Brighton & Hove loanee Percy Tau, the striker Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr picked as South Africa's most dangerous player.
Free-scoring Zhejiang Greentown striker Dino Ndlovu, who tallied 19 goals in the 2018 season, is included in the squad list as well as the in-form Strasbourg frontman Lebo Mothiba who has notched 5 goals in his last five Ligue 1 games for Strasbourg.
