Bukayo Saka shone as Arsenal earned a merited and classy 3-0 victory over Fiorentina in an International Champions Cup clash on Saturday in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Gunners manager Unai Emery has named several Academy youngsters on his roster for the trip to America, including Saka and midfielder James Olayinka who started against Colorado Rapids and Fiorentina.
Saka was generous in his praise of the exciting talents emerging from Arsenal Academy, saying they are ready to take on the world if given the chance by Emery.
"The players coming up from the academy are so special. The next generation of us can be in this Arsenal team and take on the world,'' Saka was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
"The boss is doing a good job of managing all of us, helping us to progress every day and to learn.
"I just have to keep pushing. Showing the boss what I can do and when the time comes, I am ready to play. When I get the chance, then I can take it."
Last season, the 17-year-old Saka played important first-team matches against Fulham, Blackpool, Vorskla Poltava and Qarabag.
