Everton's new star Alex Iwobi was delighted to score on his full debut for The Toffees as they ran out 4-2 winners against Lincoln City to advance to the third round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.
The Premier League side went 3-2 up courtesy of Iwobi's headed goal in the 81st minute and this marked the winger's first ever goal in the Carabao Cup after 12 appearances in the competition.
To be drawing with Everton until the closing minutes is worthy of praise and Iwobi admitted post match that Lincoln City were a tough nut to crack.
''I am enjoying my time here, it is a new chapter in my life. I am so happy and there are more memories to come,'' Iwobi said to Everton's official webpage.
“It was a difficult game and we have to give credit to Lincoln. But the most important thing is we are through to the next round.
''We showed we have that fighting spirit, and that’s good to see''.
A minute after Iwobi opened his goalscoring account for Everton, he made way for his former Arsenal teammate Theo Walcott.
