Nigeria Football Federation president Amaju Pinnick has advised the Super Eagles players not to be scared of facing a Brazil team containing one of the most talented players in the world, Paris Saint-Germain's Neymar.
Speaking at the team hotel in Singapore on Saturday, Pinnick name-checked four Super Eagles players he expects the Brazilians to pay special attention to this afternoon at the National Stadium in Singapore.
''Nigeria is a team in Africa that is feared and I believe you guys can reenact that again. It is just very simple, play to the instructions of the coaches and we can do it,'' Pinnick said.
''Forget all those faces, Neymar. They also look at Ndidi, they also look at Iwobi, Chukwueze and Osimhen. They look at everybody. Name is another word for nomenclature and it ends there.''
Pinnick revealed that Nigerians are eagerly looking forward to the game and urged the Super Eagles to beat Brazil so as to improve their position in the FIFA ranking.
''It is a thing of pride, it is an international friendly which is basically preparatory but you know in Nigeria every match is important to everybody.
''It is on NTA, AIT, SuperSport. Everybody wants to watch that game so we must win the game. We want to be number one in Africa, we are number three in Africa, Senegal drew with them, Senegal is number one.
''If we beat them tomorrow we will be number one in Africa and that's where we want to go going to the Nations Cup qualifiers,'' he concluded.
